Capercaillie Emergency Plan 2025 - 2030 - Flipbook - Page 7
Capercaillie within the UK Biodiversity Action Plan and was instrumental in
developing and delivering the 2001 FCS Challenge Fund, the 2002-2007 EU
Capercaillie LIFE Project, and the 2007-2012 Species Action Framework. Whilst the
group has continued to meet since 2012, the membership has reduced, and this
plan provides an opportunity for those members to continue contributing their
expertise to capercaillie conservation. Remaining members will therefore be invited
to join the Scientific Advisory Group chaired by NatureScot, and the Park Authority
will cease to chair the Scottish Capercaillie Group and instead, prioritise the
delivery of this Emergency Plan.
